OMG.....the NZ Nursing Council have finally received the 2 outstanding character references....wahoooooooooooooo! :clap :clap
There is a slight problem in that one wasn't dated but seemingly that can be resolved by email.....so relieved.
I felt like I was constantly badgering my boss and colleagues to resend refs that had seemingly not arrived, then had a 'hiccup' with one of the referees and had to ask someone else but now, I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere!?
A very contented bunny....one step closer to the dream!

Congrats Sue.:cheers Shouldn't be long now before you get your registration. I think my came within a month of them receiving all my documents. I just need to sort out my APC - did you have to supply evidence of your practice hours etc... with your application? I need to submit this to get my APC but someone else on this forum was asked to submit this to support their registration application. Seems NZNC are a law unto themselves.

I've had a few probs with docs not arriving so yes, huge relief that things seem to be moving forward, FINALLY!

It wasn't requested as such but they did ask in the professional reference documentation how long and under what circumstances do you know the applicant so my manager may have included it in a round about way!?
Really hope it doesn't take too long as interested in a post that could potentially begin at the end of May...I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the NZNC have a 3-4 month backlog..... hope not!
We'll see......fingers crossed

When you get your registration you will also get forms to complete for your Annual Practicing Certificate. If you want to start working in May you will need to get that sent off pretty quick. You could start getting all the documentation together for that. You need proof/evidence that you have worked 450 practice hours in the last 3 years and completed 60 hours of professional development (training) in 3 years. See this thread http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15390&highlight=annual+practising+certificate for more info.
