Still here in Limboville and starting to feel really p+*sed off about it.
House hasn't rented (yet) although there has been interest, the extra mortgage we wanted has become very complicated, flights with SA seem to have disappeared and many other annoying things are leading us into 'stressed limboland' - which is not a nice place for those who know us!

I was expecting the worst to be over when we received the visa's, but this house stuff is annoying as there is little we can do to influence it.

I know there are places and people we should be seeing and making the most of before we leave, but we just can't bring ourselves to do it at the moment. Just need to get things underway and then go along with the general flow of panic.

need to move on.

I'm flowing from limbo to panic at the mo. Still don't know about the house, hopefully early next week make the decision. Trying to organise as much as poss, then panic because I've just remembered something else.
I too had thought the worst was over once you get your visa's (stiill looking at them:yes) but it changes and continues aagghhhh. At least though I have direction, may be broke, left things behind, lost a load of post - but we're on our way soon:cheers:raebanana

Sounds good.
Maybe I'll practice 'she'll be right' and just chill out or concentrate on hitting 500 posts and becoming 'senior'.

SShhhh!! Distract the guards, cut the wires to the alarms. We are escaping this limbo world and entering panicland as everything now has to be arranged very quickly.
Tenants are all 'verbally' Ok and waiting on final contracts, container and flights booked for 9/9. ChCh is there after panicland, I can feel it.

There's a few of us going to keep the guards busy while you go over the wall...I hope panicland is just that stretch of grass before the water!!!

I'm still busy knotting my sheets together...it's obviously not long enough for us to escape yet, still I've been busy plotting all day on the computer, researching more escape routes!

Best of luck:clap

I'm with Rusty - carefully crossing the fence - ouch, look out for the barbed wire - into panic land. Waiting for those all important contracts to be signed so we can be free :clap Didn't know panic land covered was so big and long

I'm sure you must be nearly there Nickydwuk.

We have a date to go even if house hasnt sold - that bits ok!

I have left school (teacher) and dont have a job to go to. I have 3 kids to keep me busy. My OH isnt going to apply for jobs until we get there as they prefer that(electronics engineers).

We have decided to head to the North shore as our one and only friend in nz lives there - but dont know if thats where we will end up. Although its all really exciting sometimes i feel FREAKED OUT OMG WHAT ARE WE DOING!!!!!!!! :wah :laugh :clap

I cannot face sorting anything out with the little ones around and lots of the junk is in boxes that are probably covered in dust on top of wardrobes etc!
My OH has SO much junk that i wouldnt dare sort!!!! So I have to try not to nag yet!!!! My teenager has a death threat over her if she doesnt keep her room tidy as trying to sell - and keeping the house tidy with little ones is demanding to say the least!!! Just want to get there now - but not looking forward to the packing etc and emotional farewells :exit

The frantic pace I can cope with as it seems to go very fast to the point of leaving, just worried we will forget to do something important.
The goodbyes are starting to get close and worry me now. My friends I can deal with (blokes just say bye like we just left the pub), but we will be living with my parents for 2-3 weeks and I know that will be very difficult as the days go by.
The worst was the unexpected, chest-heaving sobbing as my 8 year old son left school at the end of term. He just could not get up for crying as he knew it would be the last time he saw most of his friends, we had to go in and help him out. He is better now, but gets emotional quickly. I guess we underestimated how much it would effect him.
