Can anyone in NZ tell me if the labels on packaged food list the calorie content in Kcal or Kilojoules? (ideally both!) and if it lists the saturated fat?
Strange request I know...!
Many thanks

Hi,
In my experience of checking biscuit packets:D its mainly KJ's although sometimes Kcal, and they do list Sat fats.

We found most things (apart from health foods) only show Kilojoules, but if you divide the number by 4.2 it gives you Kcal (calories to most people). Fat breakdown seems to be shown on almost everything.

Not on most of the things I buy, lamb it usually comes leg shaped, and fish is either fish shaped or in plain paper. Fruit tends to be loose (stop sniggering I mean not in a bag), veg is loose too. I just had a look at some milk and that’s in kJ.
I grabbed 5 random cans from the cupboard (Tuna tomatoes beans soup and peas) all have both kJ and cal.:nice1

Thanks so much for the replies... and for opening your cupboards to have a look for me!
