Cheers All,

Man are we excited! We're here in Washington DC... departing March 25th for Wellington :cheers the Partay is on!

Wife is a Kiwi, I'm California born... twin girls 21Months. Sad to be leaving some great friends... looking forward to meeting new ones.

Just packing remains and telling our friends to take what we can't use (115v everything!) :(

Looking for a place downtown to start with until our "stuff" arrives 60 days or so later.

Thanks so much for the advise we've been reading (COL, Shipping, Prices of goods, rentals...)... I've found www.trademe.co.nz very helpful in determining whether we bring or leave and buy there.

SEE YOU THERE APRIL 1st!

Good luck with the move :)

And really, we should start a ENZ forum twin group, there seem to be quite a few :)

Good Luck with the move. I'm sure you'll love Welllington. I know there is a weather watch elsewhere on the forum but you may like to know that today is lovely blue skies with a few white fluffy clouds. If I wasn't waiting for more deliveries then I'd be out there.

Hello from windy Leeds!
We have submitted EOI today!!! Fingers crossed.
My hubby has a job offer from an employer in Wellington. And we are now applying for a work permit and visa, hoping to be arriving in New Zealand at the end of June and wait for ITA and PR over there.
So now we have less time to prepare...I have been reading the forum for a few weeks and found it very friendly and helpful..
Thanks everybody!

"We're really doin it har"

Seriously considering wearing brown pants today!

- Visa are ready! We pick them up tomorrow from the NZ Embassy in DC
- 20' container drops tomorrow (Thursday)... drop and pick (picking up on Monday 24th). Going to be an Easter Sunday to remember.
- Farwell party with friends was fantastic... they took heaps away. Score to date... 50% is going to NZ, 20% Friends, 15% Garage Sale, 10% free, 5% Toss!
- Flights All Purchased!
March 25th - DC to LAX
March 27th - LAX to Auckland
April 1st - Auckland to Wellington

I'm sitting here looking at rooms completely in shambles wondering how in the hell we're seriously going to be packed and organized by Monday. Somehow its going to happen... but right now I'm about to either hurl heaps of butterflies or crap my pants!

Anybody know the feeling? Tell me its going to all work out!

Definitly looking forward to reaching down and tasting that first Nice Cold Wellington Brew and knowing its done!
