Thank you everyone!!! I really am so excited. Of course now I'm working on getting all the paperwork together (!!!).

I'll hopefully be able to grow my nails back now.

I think that the long wait really just makes it feel so much better now!!!!

Carey- good luck getting into your course.

tleventer- I know it's competitive to get into Massey, I'm not sure how it compares to the US schools though. It's a slightly different process. Massey looks at grades and GRE scores only while the US schools look at experience too. As it is I didn't even get interviews this year at any US schools (though I really didn't have a LOT of experience).

I have to be in NZ on July 6, and classes start July 10.

Which seems far now, but with all the paperwork I have to do I bet it will fly by.

most people are really happy, excited, and making me promise that they can come visit.

My mother... well she started freaking out. She was going off about the house (a duplex) I live in and whether to sell (but concerned about the economy) or rent (but she lives 3000 miles away). Then she was also concerned because I'm planning on heading out to Las Vegas where most of my family lives in June to spend time with them, but my sister (in North Carolina) is due to have her baby at the end of may, and blah blah blah. The sister in question didn't have much time to talk (as when she called I was at the doctor picking up my medicals), so I'm not sure how she feels.
My brother and sister in law are already planning their trip to visit me (my sister in law screamed more than I did when she found out.. hehe).

Overall good, but as usual my mother will make drama out of this.

:laugh Well first I have to pass the course, and then I have to work out whether I'll actually be practicing. Then if I give away my services for free I'll be quickly out of business.

But general pet care advice, and advice on getting your animal into NZ I have no problem helping with. :)

And please- don't ask me for advice on here about big problems, if your animal is seriously hurt, get to the VET!

Well all of my paperwork for Massey is in. I just have to wait to hear about financial aid, then get the Confirmation of place and apply for my student visa, and my husband's work visa.

Thanks! I was just realizing that I really don't have that much time to get this all done!

It's not really going smoothly for my cat (delayed 3 months, and my mother is trying to convince me to leave him (not going to happen)), but so far for my husband and I it's been smooth (medicals and police reports are already done).

I just found out the bank approved my grad plus loan (pending certification from Massey) which means I'll be able to afford to go!
