A bit of an obscure question but has anyone used, or seen, those stick on things that make it look like you've got frosted glass.

We're thinking about using them but wasn't sure how authentic they looked.

I wonder how many replies I'll get for this one - I'm guessing 24, but then I'm an optimist! :D

Cheers

Nope not seen it, but try the usual suspects, Mitre 10, Bunnings etc.

Now that is 2 replies ;) :laugh

My friend had them and hated them, they ran down the windows as the sticky stuff melted in the sun!

Guess it depends how sunny your windows are! I think they are just in the supermarket with the fly spray and stuff...

Ooh, I remember: I saw it at Spotlight last year.

My brother used it and it looked good.... but this was in London, so I have no idea what the stuff available here is like, or even where you can get it over here. (This isn't a very helpful reply really, is it, but at least it goes some way towards your 24 replies!)

Not seen them over here if you mean the window stickys to make you look like you have frosted glass............we had a problem buying transfers for plain tiles for bathroom/kitchen, everyone looked at us stupid! Ended up buying from Ebay in Uk.

If you are talking about the insect stickys that StevieD mentions, like a yellow flower, we have them and they are next to useless.

This is where we got ours from. www.windowfrosting.co.nz

Much cheaper than replacing the glass and as long as it's put on carefully it does look good. :yes

Amazing 12 replies (well I was half right!). Thanks for all the replies and 'sightings' of the product not bad for thingies. Although I'm not sure the guy in IanW99's link is really getting the privacy he hoped for!

Thanks Willsken, I really wanted to hear from someone who had used them. Were they easy to apply or do you get lots of bumps? Any tips from a pro?

Yes, jubjub, different thingies, I did wonder why they'd be with the fly spray. But totally agree with everyone, those stick on yellow flowers are useless, we bought one, not only did it not work but it also went mouldy - not very attractive.

Cheers

Tia
