Car Auction in Auckland!
I would recommend it. Having said that, Hubby did the bidding & kept very cool & calm while I got more & more tense like an elongating elastic band!
Anyway, we paid $5400 for a 98 mitsubishi chariot with low mileage which seems to be $2000 or $3000 under the garage price.
We bought 12 months mechanical breakdown cover for $360. You have to service the car with Turners, but seems like a good deal.
Having watched one Auction without buying, we decided to have several prospective cars lined up and never bid over the starting figure of the estimate (eg $5500-$6500).
If 2 people are quite attached to 1 vehicle the bidding can go on for a while & reach pretty close to garage prices.
We are happy with the transaction so far - but only time will tell! I will keep you posted.
