Can anyone help me setting up my wireless modem router. I have a netgear DG834GT that I brought from UK that worked perfectly. When I try to connect to Telecom NZ either wireless on through an ethernet cable it will not connect.
Any hints?

Not sure how you can connect to Telecom wirelessly? I always start off with just straight thru the ethernet cable.
I'm assuming that you are using the modem part to connect to Telecom and not going through a separate modem as well.
Also assuming that the current status of the Modem doesn't say Connected?
Normally the problem will be either the username / password is incorrect or you haven't set some of the connection parameters correctly for connecting to Telecom.
For example my settings are PPPOA, VPI=0, VCI=100
If it is that the modem can't connect to Telecom, then I just phone their techinical support who tell me what settings are needed.
I'm assuming you have a filter on the phone line?

Just to be clear - is the problem with the modem connecting to Telecom, or your laptop/PC connecting to the router. I'm assuming it's the former.
I have a DG834 from the UK and that works fine for me here. As Ian said, it's quite possible you've not got all the settings set correctly for Telecom. They should be able to tell you what all the various parameters should be set to.
There are 4 lights on the router - what happens to them when you turn the power on?
Cheers,
Martin
