The past 2 days, I've ended up with a buzzing - and angry - bee tangled up in my laundry!

First time I brought in some towels, folded them into the basket, and then noticed the buzzing noise coming from the basket.... when I shook each towel carefully, a big bee flew out of one. Strange....

Then it happened again yesterday. I brought in a full wash load of dry clothes, shook and folded each one into the basket. Hours later I am sorting out the clean washing to go into drawers, airing cupboard etc, and one of my t-shirts is buzzing very angrily. I took it outside and shook it, all the while it is buzzing really loud, and I was scared in case it flew out and stung me! Again, I had a bee - inside my t-shirt!

Does this happen to anyone else? I've never known it before, and it happens 2 days running!!!

Maybe the softener or detergent you use is attracting them? How strange though!

Nope, its never happened to me, but come to think of it I hardly ever see bees in NZ apart from dying ones on the floor.

Perhaps its the same one!? Maybe he's got a bit of a love affair going on with your washing?

Cheers

If it's the same bee, he's going to be pretty annoyed with me by now.... :exit

Some washing powders contain large amounts of stuff (sorry for being so technical) that gives off an ultra-violet light and attracts bees etc. So I'm told...

:laugh You can imagine this bee going back to the hive. 'There I was, minding my own business, catching these lovely UV rays, and I get folded up AGAIN...'
