Hi everyone
Our shippers are here, can't believe it. Stuff will all be gone tomorrow.
My two boys had a very wobbly moment last night, think it has finally hit that we ARE going after months of prep. They cried their eyes out, it was awful :( BUT I know it will pass.
The packers are very quiet, they haven't eaten a thing and it's now 2.30pm. They are working hard so I am off to make them a drink :nice1

Hope everything goes OK

I remember that day well, it was a very strange feeling. I'm sure the kids will be fine once they get here but it must be hard.

Hi Nat

I remember the feeling well, and we only shipped 12 boxes over.

I took the friday and monday off over a weekend to sort the packing out, and it was hard enough, without attacking my sons bedroom. I found that the hardest!

He came home from school, and although i had left stuff out that he could play with (which was giving to school when we went, and some that we were packing in cases), he broke his heart!

He told me i was horrible and i didnt love him anymore! God did i cry. The poor thing! He soon had a smile on his face when i told him he could have some new toys when we got out here............

Good luck with the day and just remember its another thing you can tick off your list, youre one step further again!

Hi everyone
Our shippers are here, can't believe it. Stuff will all be gone tomorrow.

Snap, from the other side of the Equator! Our belongings are all in boxes waiting
to be loaded tomorrow. Our boys are definitely adaptable...the turmoil just hasn't phased them at all. Take out pizza for dinner is always a good settler of nerves for us as a family, and takes our minds off what still needs to be done.
May the force be with you as you cross over to the other side...:)

Oh, isn't it the weirdest feeling to watch all your worldly goods being driven away in a huge van....

We distracted our little'un by sending him round to play with friends on those days. And ours barely even stopped for coffee!!!

OOh getting excited for you now Nat - not long at all :D

I have to say our kids were at school and nursery when the packers came so although they had a bit of a wobble we kept out some of their favourite bits and pieces so that calmed them a bit... Although I do remember the wee one refusing to sleep in his 'empty + too scary room' - bless. We also kept them going by bribery basically :D The promise of trampoline and new scooters sure brought smiles to their faces :)

All the best with the rest of the rollercoaster ride Nat :)

Just waved the container off. It was touch and go whether it was all going to fit.
Dusk - we went with John Masons in the end. I have to say so far so good.....

Well done,

It is rare that you get the chance to do something new, to experience
things for the first time. You are getting the opportunity to feel something you have not done before..enjoy the moment.

Haere mai! Haere mai! Haere mai!
Once! Twice! Thrice! Welcome.

Ooh Nat I remember our moving day well. Our boys were both at school and just came home to pick up their belongings - a few favourite toys including teddies were packed in a ruck sack for them and they were fine. I'm sure yours will be too. :)

PS - I've PM'd you.
