:raebanana Woohoo! INZ London received my application last week, processed the application fee on Friday, reviewed it today (Monday), and I am now "Approved in Principle!" That was a lot faster than I expected!

Now they say I'm in a queue for a few weeks to get my blue stickers issued. But it sounds like things are for sure! Good reason to celebrate. :nice1

That was quick. When did you drop it off, 3rd March was two weeks ago?
We took ours in last week but still waiting for some papers from NZ but at least that means they are processing very quickly. Who is your case officer?
Sorry all these questions but I'm longing to get this bit over.

I'm in the US. I mailed it to London 3-Mar, they received it about 10-11-Mar, we had some confusion about paying the application fee that took until 14-Mar to resolve, then today - bam - it's approved!

My case officer is Maxine Little.

Wahlet... wow, that is some turnaround since first applying in early January

Why did you mail it to London when you're in the US?

Mels

That is seriously quick. Where are you going in Welly?

Now I'm confuzzled. Just checked our progress. The lodgement date has appeared as 12/3 which is fine but the medical certificates are shown as being rec'd tomorrow!!!!! Now how do they do that, they were in the same heap of paper as the other stuff!!!

Very confuzzled Mels

Red Devil: all Skilled Migrant PR applications go through London. PR applications in other categories may go through the US office(s).

Mels: not sure what part of Welly we'll be living in yet. My employer provides temporary lodging and we'll be looking for a place to rent during that time. Without having been there, I think we'd love to live in Oriental Bay or Mt. Vic neighborhoods, though high rental prices may push us further out.

When it says your medical dates are now different that your application (ITA) received date - it means you were "approved in principle" but have not gotten the letter yet or the letter has yet to be generated pending a few final checks of your ITA by a NZIS manager. Well at least in my case that's what happened...

Watch your mailbox for a letter from NZIS soon... cheers!

Congrats Wahlet that might be a world record have some nanas :raebanana :raebanana

Mels - I think that when the medicals date changes that means they have been cleared.. Generally that means if everything else is okay the you should be approved in principle asap :D I think I noticed change in medical dates and then a couple of days later got the approval

Best of luck

Nope I'm still confuzzelled.
The date that shows for medicals received is 4 days later than we dropped them off and the received date for all other paperwork. It hasn't actually changed, that was the first date shown.

My confuzzlement is how come as it was in the same envelope could it be received 4 days later - unless that when it gets to the medical board dept thingy place..... I'm losing it now, even put hair conditioner on the sponge in the shower this morning, turned the kettle on to toast the bread ..:exit

Ah Mels sorry for the confusion I thought you had submitted a wee while ago... Yep our dates for the medicals did change early on and I think what you've just said is right your medicals have now been submitted to medical folks. Don't know why the date is different  I really wish I could remember all the terminology they use but at least this means your ITA is being assessed so not long now - relatively speaking :laugh In the world of moving to NZ I know every day can seem like a lifetime - hang in there :yes
