i am also trying to update my cv, which i havent looked at for over 5 years!!! should i keep it to the 2 pages that it is or expand it? do i need to give overview of current job & empolyer details? how much of previous work experience do i include? is it advisable to hand cvs out at expos? if people have have they had feedback?

to put in perspective i'm 33 with a ND agri & BSc hons agri with all work experience in agricultural field. the job i have at present is with defra & from looking through the anzsco there are jobs that are similar to the 1 i'm doing now, which is promising! does anybody out there work for min of ag nz??

I would suggest taking your CV (it dosn't hurt to take some in case) we took both hard copies ad copies on a flash usb gadget fo people to take copies of if they wanted to and came home with all our hard copies.

as for the CV update, no need to exapnd it too much, you want to detail your curret role and your duties/responsibilities in enough detail that they make sense, but not down to the fineitty gritty, plus list other relevant work experience and your qualifications etc.

I'd second what Dusk has said with regard to CV on USB & paper & current job.
We spent a bit of time looking at the companies that were going to be at the Expo & then looking at their own websites so we knew when we got to the expo where we would be heading & shortened our time spent there as it was busy. For us it meant tartgeting about 3 stands & browsing the rest, it worked for us! Interview the following week with a job offer.
Very best of luck to you :cheers
