Hi we are putting in our EOI next month with only 110 points:( . Could someone tell me is it possible to go to NZ for a few weeks job hunting even though your EOI has not been pulled as i seem to get mixed feelings on this. Why im asking OH is thinking of going over around August if he can set up job interviews before going, WILL HE need to show prove of a working visa as some agencies say that he needs a visa before going and some say that going over is showing them that you keen (does this make sense ) sorry!!!!!!!!!:confused: Natasha

There's absolutely nothing to stop someone going over to NZ and arranging interviews. As you mentioned that you've already submitted your EOI and mentioning this will go a long way to convincing people that you are serious about making the move.

As far as I know a work visa is easier to get than a WTR or PR so your OH, if successful, could start off with a work visa while you continue on with the residency application.
