Hello and good morning from a sunny, if not cold Lincolnshire in the UK
We found this place by accident really, but it has helped over the past few weeks to give us important information, mostly it has helped us decide that we want to try to emigrate, and that it is a real possibility and not in the realms of fantasy. :raebanana
My wife, quite light heartedly sent her CV to a healthcare agency in Auckland, and has already had a telephone interview. They are crying out for nurses...
So, thanks in advance for all the invaluable information you guys are bound to give us over the coming months :)

Hello and welcome to the forum :)
They are crying out for nurses...
... yep, they certainly are. My OH is a nurse (renal) and the agency she's signed up with (Tonix) have mentioned there's plenty of opportunities to be had... only problem is the NZNC are taking 4 months to approve nursing registrations :roll
Lincolnshire... my PIL are from Spalding, bit flat for my liking but each to their own ;)
Enjoy the rollercoaster ride :D

Excellent news! :D The wife had her telephone interview (ironically with an ex-pat out there...) and got the job!
So now we are looking for a immigration consultant, can anyone recommend us one please :o

Congratulations on the job :raebanana Get your OH to send the NZNC registration ASAP. As for an immigration consultant, I personally would prefer to use the money on something better. You can get all the info you need from this forum and INZ for your EOI & ITA. I'm sure others will chip in with their help & advice too.

Thanks, we were going to send off the Nurse registration after the EOI was accepted.
We printed off all the guides and forms (well most of them, the printer ran out of ink late last night :) )
Seems like my estimates of 140 points were low, without me having a job offer, we get 180 points :D
Just need to get the money together for the EOI and figure out what is next.

Welcome!
I'd definitely send off to NZNC before doing the EOI as with a job offer you'll get your ITA really quickly and may end up having to delay sending back the ITA while you wait on the nurse reg.
Like everyone says, no need for immigration consultants and the agency should help out with chasing up NZNC etc.
You won't need to worry about your points, married to a nurse you can just tag along with her and get a great IT job when you get here.
Good Luck

Hi my first post too. I found the forum completely by accident, as did most of the lucky people on here I think! It has been so helpful and reassuring realising other people are going through and have gone through the same things as me!!
Good luck to all of us:D

Hi Red Devil, orthopeadics I believe..
Just had an email from the agency again, (it's always good news from them :D ) and they are giving us a NZ$3000 bond for helping us relocate :)
Just gotta figure out the best way of using it.

Welcome Baz and HO great to have another nurse on the forum. It can take 3-4 months to get NZ Reg. I rang them every two weeks. It seems so many docs go missing. In the end I got my referees to give me there letters and I send everthing together by Airsure
