Hi Guys

I have just got my pre assessment back and it's level 6, can anyone enlighten me as to what this means for me trying for a skilled visa under accountancy (ACCA) ?

Many thanks
Nicky

I found this, here. http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/framework/about.html#5 I don't know what that will mean in terms of your submission for points, but I expect somebody else does.

NQF Standards and Qualifications
...

The NQF has 10 levels - 1 is the least complex and 10 the most. Levels depend on the complexity of learning. Levels 1-3 are of approximately the same standard as senior secondary education and basic trades training. Levels 4-6 approximate to advanced trades, technical and business qualifications. Levels 7 and above approximate to advanced qualifications of graduate and postgraduate standard.

Hi Janey,

I am currently doing the final year of ACCA so that is probably why I only got a 6 but it seems like a lot of effort to put in to get an extra point!! Are you classified as a skilled migrant with your CIMA?

Thanks

Hi texasted,
yes I am, although I still need a job to be pulled through! got my full NZQA back yesterday, my AAT has been ranked as a 5 and CIMA as a 7 it does seem a lot of hard work as you say but you do get far more recognition for been qualified. ALso employers in NZ do recognise UK qualifications so I have no problem there.
good luck you are nearly there!
