Mmmm, bit blurry eyed after 5 pints of Boddies :cheers ... good result though, especially with Chelski drawing... oh what a shame :D
Unfortunately I didn't get chance to see the programme... went the long way home via the chippy, you know how it is... was the programme any good?

It was very much a whistle stop tour of NZ. Started in Auckland, then Northlands, Rotorua, travelled down to South Island, Christchurch, then south of that (can't remember where) and then across to a glacier.
It seemed to show quite a lot of extreme sports. It's convinced my teenagers they want to go anyway!!
The countryside looked absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't mind living in any of the places he showed.
If we ever do actually get there I think our early accommodation problems are sorted though. You can work on an Emu farm for four hours a day and you get free food and lodging :clap :clap What more could you ask for :nice1

Sorry to be critical but I thought the programme was geared towards scaring the presenter by putting him through a wide range of extreme sports and the things on the consumerist to do list. As a result I think he's not really engaged or appreciating the country itself. He tells us the train ride from Wellington to Christchurch has beautiful scenery but we don't see it much because he's asleep (probably exhausted with anxiety!!LOL).
It did from my humble and limited experience largely reduce NZ to a place for crazy thing and extreme sports - which the presenter was worried about doing.
It was only after he finished his extreme sports that he relaxed and appeared to be able to appreciate and engage with the surrounding - disappointing because as far as I can see (from here in the UK) NZ is rich in diversity and has amazing outstanding beauty (can anyone confirm this view -or have I been watching too many 100% PURE NZ videos?) - but once he ends the extreme sports activities he was forced to demonstrate and goes up to the glacier in a helicopter you visibly see him relax and appreciate NZ. That bit particularly showed the amzing beauty and peacefulness of the country.

I agree, it wasn't what I was really hoping for either, but I tried to look behind the presenter to see glimpses of scenery.
I thought the train journey was a bit rubbish too. Unfortunately it was just the nature of the programme. Better than nothing though!

No I appreciated you letting us know - thanks:nice1
Glad you felt the same too.
Yes I was able to get glimpses of the beautiful unspoilt countryside but I think my wife and I got a distorted view of Auckland by the sound of things!:exit
