Hi all,
I'm starting to get worried. My EOI has been selected on December 19th (120 points, no job offer, bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage) but since I have received to news. Except for a letter saying my application has been transfered to the London Branch. And my EOI status is still 'selected'. :uhoh
Is this normal?
Do you think I should call the London Branch or wait a bit longer?
Thanx a lot for your help!

Hi

Probably would as its been 3mths now.........There may be a valid reason but i would for peace of mind as they may have sent documents out and they could have gone missing (not meaning to scare you!).

Other alternative is to post a question on their website, or look for questions/answers on there. Takes about 48hrs to get reply. You probably wont get them until next week now with the Easter break ?

Good luck and let us know what happened.

They'll leave you in the wait and see pile whilst they deal with the job offer pile. They usually say up to four months so you could frop them an e-mail asking them something inoccuous (sp?) like how to change you mobile phone number on your EOI form - or who to write to if you get a job offer. Nothing too specific just enough to deserve a reply. It worked for us!

Thank you Sharon and lockstock for your replies.
I checked on the NZIS website but could not find an email for the London Branch. Lockstock, could you please tell me which one to use?

I would say they used London, as they came from UK like myself!

Sharon, what I meant was which email address to use to contact London Branch?

Don't worry. I had to wait for three months to hear back from my EOI officer, 45 days later I was issued an ITA. They do process applications without job offer so slow.

I can't remember exactly but it must be on the paperwork somewhere or I wouldn't have found it. They're quite good about emails - it's the phone they seem to find tricky! Have a look at 'contacts' on their website. Good luck.

Hi again!!
Has anyone managed to actually speak to someone using this number 01344 71 61 99? (you are supposed to use it when calling from outside UK)
I have been trying for the last three days but they always seem busy "helping other migrants"
Although this is considered as the "inexpensive number', it is still expensive for me as I'm calling from France!
mesh2008, thanks for your reply. But it is hard not to worry when I see other people without job offer receiving ITA in 6 weeks.
Maybe someone else has the email for London Branch?

Thanks a lot

I don't have an answer for you, but just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear you're still struggling to make contact. It must be maddening.
