Hello

Can anyone tell me if I (as a NZ sponsor) need a police certificate from the UK (I've lived here for 9 years) to submit with the application.

My partner's police certificates only have a couple of weeks left before they become out of date (we really have left it last minute), would anyone know if you can submit an application whilst waiting for the police certificate to arrive? Any advice much appreciated!

AFAIK, You must supply the police certificates at the same time as the application.

If you need police certificates from the UK, you are now meant to be using the ACPO version.

It does cost more but it does have the advantage that you can get it processed faster £35 for 10 working day service or £70 for 2 working day service.

So it may pay you (so to speak) to get one of these instead.

Ah okay. Understood. Many thanks for your help I will have to use the premium service to be on the safe side. Fantastic turnaround time compared to the old way.

I did the 10 day one and it came back in 7 days. Really good service.
