What exactly does it mean when I have a status of "Decision Successful"? It last read: "Selected" Is it normal to change to a new status with no notification? I got no emails or messages from INZ. Am I just being paranoid? =blink=

I haven't been through this process, but that SOUNDS like good news to me, and the formal notification just hasn't caught up with you yet. No doubt some of the older hands will be along shortly to comment more knowledgeably. Meanwhile, one (tentative) banana.:raebanana

Hi, Hackswell...I don't believe we got a personal notification...just checked online and saw "successful" as well. This means you've passed muster and will be receiving an ITA. Congratulations!

It means they've checked your EOI, and assuming that you can prove what you've claimed, the application is basically sound. In other words, it's been sanity checked. "Selected" just meant it had been automatically pulled from the pool due to the points score, and made no implication about the validity of the application.

we got a letter (old style proper in the post letter) to tell us about the progress of our application at the same time as our ITA arrived :)

130... without a job offer. I received a notice in the post (mail) today saying I had a package to sign for from INZ. :) So I put tomorrow as when my ITA arrived. :)

Hopefully I'll be looking for mine before summer then. (Had the same points and situation as you).
Last time I went decision successful it took ~ 3 months from selection to ITA.
(Had to withdraw, long story).

congrats :) I got an email from NZIS when my EOI changed from "selected" to "decision successful". This is because the ITA in my case was sent by email not by mail, this is better as it takes nearly three weeks for a letter send from NZ to reach Egypt.

Today, I am happy to announce, that my EOI status has changed from selected to decision successful. Was selected on 27 Feb so thats only just over a month on 110 points with job (I'm currently in NZ on a 3 year work permit).

I actually had a great day today because in addition to the EOI news, I passed a very difficult Microsoft exam.

How long are you guys in general waiting to go from Selected to Decision Successful?

The last time we went through this (Oct 2005) we were selected, then got a letter and assigned someone - which later disagreed with our score and we were declined.

Our EOI was selected from the pool on the 12th March and have moved to Decision Successful today :raebanana

We have the medicals next Monday and hopefully the police clearance certs will be here within the next week or 2. I am supposed to be starting my new job on 28th April.
