Hi,

I'm planning on moving to NZ with my NZ OH and my son from a previous relationship, I was wondering if any one has had to go through the court process for this?

Infact, I think that just knowing someone else has been through the same thing would help!!!

You are not alone!
We are going to be moving with my son and my 4 stepchildren. My understanding is that we do not have to go to the courts as the boys Mum has agreed for them to move with us, she has to complete some paperwork confirming this.
I guess it would not be this straightforward if she did not agree. This is only my understanding and experience - i'm sure someone will be along soon with more official guidance.
