Just read an article in yesterdays Hawkes Bay Today............
It seems 750 people across the country were surveyed, aged 18+ and these are results -
34% of Hawkes Bay surveyed said they were happy, making the Bay 9th happiest in the 18 regions surveyed
39.8% of women in HB are happy - 3rd in country
27.9% men in HB are happy - 7th of 11 regions
HB people are VERY happy............unofficial!!
Nationally -
Women are happier than men
People 75 plus are most happiest
Nelson is the happiest region, followed by Timaru, Oamaru and Marlborough
West Coast/Buller is most unhappiest, followed by Manawatu and Auckland
Unmarried men are unhappier than unmarried women
Widows are happier than widowers
Retired was given the happiest occuption, ahead of self employed, unemployed was the least happiest just ahead of clerks.........
Just a bit of useless info i thought i would share with you............
The reporter who did the article stated ' HB people are far too happy and content to fully answer survey questions...........they dont want to say too much about the Bays fine climate, relaxed lifestyle, pacific seafront, wineries.......our sparkling part of the world, or everyone else will want to come here!!!!!!!!'
