If there's anyone out there interested in playing or helping out with disability cricket there's an introduction to it this Sunday at Melville Cricket Club's ground (Melville School) Hamilton from 9 am. OH was Disability Development Officer in Wales and NZ sports authoriities are now keen to get things started over here (need to keep up with Australia, India, Sri Lanka etc)

If you or someone you know has a physical oir intellectual disability come along for the morning on Sunday and see what it's all about. The rest of you, please pray the rain holds off. PM me for more details:)

Hiya - I'd love to get some more information on this, but don't have the ability to use the PM system yet. Any chance you can put some more details up here?

Thanks!

It's a 'try it and see' morning to guage interest and do some mini practice sessions. It's a chance for anyone who needs a bit of extra help to cope in the able bodied world to train with and play in a real team. The aim is to get several teams up an running and start a mini league - first in the Hamilton area, then the rest of the Waikato and eventually the whole of NZ.

Hi Gilly

Wish you'd reminded me I could have put the word out at work. How long is it likely to go on for on Sunday? Just asking in case Joe would like to give it a whirl as we also wanted to go to 'Tonic' Home show at Claudelands.

Sorry Paula, I just didn't realise how close it was. It's only for the morning so I guess you could do both at a push. You could always leave Joe with us if he could cope with that!
