Hi, I've been looking at the forum today as I'm hoping to move to New Zealand (hopefully on a permanent basis) and am keen to get advice as it all seems a bit overwhelming. I'm a recent university graduate so am hoping that may help me in my cause as well as having family based in Auckland :)

Hi Dave and welcome to the forum. When you've done the overwhelmed bit (par for the course) sit yourself down and read the EOI stuff. Start getting together your qualifications from school upwards (certs etc) your Uni will know what you need when you contact them. Start gathering evidence from previous employers about when you worked for them and what you did. Work out what your employment area will be and surf the net for info on vacancies etc.
Then go for for the EOI form. It says it only takes a couple of hours (yeah, right) but if there's anything you want to know, post on here and there'll be plenty of people who can share their experiences. Best of luck:nice1

Thanks guys, I will be asking a few questions now I'm here as some of it is really over whelming. I'm still trying to figure out what is the best route to take at the moment.

Welcome to the forum from another Yorkshire (huddersfield) family! Don't miss it at all only the people who are still there! You can still get Yorkshire puds over here so don't worry!! :clap
Good luck with everything, the forum is full of helpful people and don't forget to use the search facility, a lot of questions have been asked before and you'll find lots of useful (and useless) threads on various topics!
