Well guys,
I am away from forum, since i am frustrated from NZ due to NZQA, and ready disapponed news on other sites.

Here is my sad story,
It is been over 4 months and with fast tracking fee, My report is still in Mr. MR pocket.

NZQA have funny system, for Asian they have got a type of person with mentality like the millions is our government offices and like those from whom we skilled people want to escape, and wish to have good live in NZ.
I admit that its our fault to be from Asia and going to NZ, but we pay NZQA according to NZ standards , but they hire cheap Asian who again treat us the way we have been treated in our countries.
Well you pay them over hundreds of dollar for processing application, but they do not give you option to pay NZ$36 more as courier fee, so that you can receive your report safely, instead they send it via old age and out of date normal postal service. Definitely such reports to Asian countries will be lost and you have to pay NZ$50 as duplicate copy fee and NZ$36 as courier fee. This will not only waste time, but extra resources, because they are not polite enough to confirm your fax and other details.
I have called them many times, and send them emails, but all in vain, as they know I am a poor Asian and a correct person MR. MR is dealing (infact ....ing with me) my case.

So sad and so poor service, we pay them for services, they use our money to buy their cloths, but they don't realize how difficult is it for us to arrange money and process out application.
Who knows, how many times, we will be treated in this way.

But hope for the best, Asia is also rising :laugh :clap

I can understand part of your frustration. My NZQA report took 6 months! No fast track though ..
However, I am not Asian (last time I checked anyway)! So I doubt whether the delay has all that much to do with where you are from. Some assessments just take longer due to various reasons.
Hang in there!

Hi, Syed, We know how you feel. We fast-tracked our NZQA, and it took three+ months. The "fast track" designation is certainly misleading. However, once we got our evaluation, it was what we hoped for, so perhaps you'll have the same result. Hang in there. Susan/Dennis

4 months is a long time. Maybe you can ask your case officer if you can send the ITA application first, then send the NZQA result when you get it.

Thanks Dusk, Susan, Pebble and richtee
As I said, in my email, my case officer is either very old or he is just making troubles. I requested NZQA, that a neutral and open minded person should deal my case, and they are ignoring my requests which is so disappointing.
Actually my original report was send out on Feb 19th, and from then till now, I am asking them to send me the copy via courier service. My case officer was extremely confident that I will receive via normal postal service, and he was delaying my report copy, till he finally asked me to pay NZ$36 as courier fee. When they received that NZ$36 and after weeks of confirmation and my reminding calls, he told me that I have to pay NZ$50 also as duplicate fee (I have never recieved my origional) , and this was why he did not replied for weeks. Then I faxed them NZ$50 also, and he is still thinking to make his decision happen or find out some more unnecessary reasons to delay my report further.
This is the way people in government offices deal with customers in Asian countries. Since Mr. MR is from Asia, he is doing the same and no one in NZQA is taking action. They will finally send, I am confident, but what about my wasted time and resources and above all my bad expression about NZQA and other NZ government offices.

Thanks again guys, i am hanging just becuase there are so many nice people in NZ like you all...

Hi Syed,

Sorry to hear about your situation. With NZQA response time it does seem to be all based on luck. I didn't fast track my application and I got it back in three months. Some paid for fast track, and got it back later. And some got it back in weeks.

It's strange that you cannot pay to have them courier back the documents. I know I have no choice - I have to pay for return courier services. They do not allow return of documents via regular post.

I'm from Singapore.

It might be worth to send polite emails every fortnight or so to push them along.

Regards,
Kelvin

syed - my advice is to ask NZIS for an extension - this should be OK if you explain that you are waiting on NZQA, who are really REALLY slow. my report took over 4 months. and that was with fast track. it appears the delay is in sending email back to your home country to verify the level of your qualification.

explain to NZIS and good luck with everything :nice1
