I rang the NZ Nursing Council last Thursday to be informed that my registration had been posted....I was soooooooooooooooooooo excited :raebanana
I didn't want to jinx anything by posting but it's now official, I have my certificate, documents etc......just have to send off for the practising cert :laugh Been a long time coming, had my fair share of hiccups!
Off to add to my signature now and gaze at my posh certificate....lol
Thanx to everyone for their support and reassurance during my very long wait.....

Thanx Sharon.....
Hmmm, let me see, what's next? It's probably about time I cracked on with the EOI....most of it's completed but there are a couple of bits I'm unsure of. Rest assured when I sort out exactly what bits I need answers to, I'll be posting all the relevant questions in the hope that you guys can point me in the right direction!

That was a LONG wait--so much the sweeter for you to finally receive it--congratulations! I felt very posh myself when I first laid eyes on my Provisional teaching certificate. For me, things began to look real at that point. Best, Susan

You've just taken a HUGE step on the way to NZ
Can't believe it's taken so long. We are just getting our docs together to send to NZNC. I'll try and be patient for the long wait :roll :laugh
Good luck with the rest of the process.

I don't think the average application takes this long....one of my referees let me down and it took 2-3 attempts for all the references to 'get to' the NZNC. I left it for ages before I rang them, knowing that references had been sent.....I just thought that the waiting game was all part of the process. As soon as I found out that there were problems, I emailed and rang on at least a fortnightly basis. The last piece of paperwork arrived with them on the 11th March and I received all the paperwork today, officially registered since 12th March. Pretty quick turnaround in the end!!
Hope you don't encounter the problems I did.....just remember, keep chasing!
