Hi all,

Wonder if someone can help out. I have just submitted my EOI, for my wife and I. We have a total of 115 points  , which doesn't quite make the mark. Here's the question though:

My wife has a qualification that I have not claimed points for...yet. She has a National Diploma: Photography. I have submitted it to the NZQA for pre-assessment for EOI purposes, but like so many one you, have been waiting for weeks for any feedback. Friends of hers with exactly the same qualification, that immigrated , had a full assessment done and had a level 6 feedback. She will thus, hopefully, be assesed with the same level.

(1) Does a level 6 qualification for your partner, qualify you to claim the extra 20 bonus points? What is the minimum qualifying level for the bonus points?
(2) The point for the pool draw is low at the moment the extra 20 points will hopefully get me in;) . Can I add her qualification to the EOI now, before I get the pre-assesment back from the NZQA, as I am pretty sure of her level? If I do so and I get picked, will they throw out my EOI or will they just ask for an assessment of her Qualification. I am scared that the marks go up again:no

Any help will be appreciated..... Cheers

Hi
We have also been claiming points for partners qualifications and from what I understand a Higher national Diploma is only a level 5, so not sure what a National Diploma would be, sorry I can't help further, good luck
