Everyone we know including ourselves found that flights to UK is more tiring & exhausting, took longer to recover than flights to NZ, I always thought because they had adjust time changes twice in a months made them took longer to recover on return back to UK till my MIL who been here for 6 months stay have found return flight very tiring & exhausting, whereas she found flight was easy & relaxing on the way to NZ 6 months ago. Can anyone explain why?

I've been out from the UK to NZ and back twice, and M has done it once. I've heard people suggest that going west or east makes a difference, but it wasn't the case for either of us. The first time I went via LA, and the time we both went was via HK, and it was equally okay. As we didn't need to be alert for anything immediately after the journeys, it didn't matter that we felt a bit dozy from time to time, or woke up in the dark. It was only a minor inconvenience, nothing worse.

I guess these things can take people different ways, but we seem to be lucky.

I'm glad I don't have that major of a time change. I'll be stopping in Las Vegas for a month to spend time with my family so I'll only have a 3-4 hour time difference from that to NZ.
