All applications submitted on or after 4 April will need to use the new forms for Medicals...

Here is the NZIS Leaflet (pdf)

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/DD2D2D27-DD49-4A62-96CC-3A1F32223C8E/0/NZIS1121.pdf

And here's the NZIS website... http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/generalinformation/news/newhealthrequirements

This may explain why the little handwritten notes are slowly starting to appear in ITA packs.. so if you have medicals already done make sure to submit before 4 April... I fyou have just been selected and not received your ITA it may be wise to hold off or get one of the new forms??

Daz was talking to the DR when he had his medical last week and he was telling him that it was going to be a lot more work for the Docs when the new rules come in, cos the medicals will be much more in depth. Instead of the 1/2 hour appointment now, it'll take a lot longer and of course, cost more too!

For your info, we paid $110 each for the Dr's report (the 1/2 hour appointment), $85 for our x-rays, and $12 for our blood tests. (Plus whatever it's gonna cost me for the neurologist's report! :uhoh I dread to think about that..... :eek Oh well, it's gotta be done!)

So if you're quick and can get the meds done and your ITA in before April, get and do it! It'll be a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle too.
