I may be able to secure a contract post in NZ, would this suffice for the purposes of a job offer is the term was long enough etc? Or does the job offer have to be a permanent one?

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to find an answer?

Right I have found the answer and it is that you need a 12 month contract at least to be considered a viable job offer for the purposes of claiming points against PR.
