We went for an interview / talk with this company today - they deal with finding work for truck drivers with accredited companies. We are seriously thinking about using them. Has anyone else used them? We are weighing up the pro's and cons at the moment - we were going to come in on a tourist visa and hope to pre arrange interviews with trucking firms. One of the things we are thinking about is the change in the customs policy concerning bringing in our goods on a tourist visa and the tax to pay. - I know it's still fairly new, but we would have to pay customs without a work visa. We would also have to organise a return flight, although I have found that ANZ do a refundable fare, we would still have to shell out just over 2k to start with.
If anyone has used them, any info would be much appreciated:nice1

Can't help with specifics but with any agency just be wary of anyone who wants fees up front, or in case of job agency, anyone who wants fees from you and not from the employer
Best of luck

Thanks Paul, that's the main reason I'm asking for any info on this company, the main reason we are considering them, is because they claim to find trucking jobs that lead to wtr as truckers are not on the ltssl

Cath be aware of NZ4U. I have a friend who was going to use them for the process, but i warned him too to be careful. I had heard that they were putting everything on hold as they couldn't get the companies who they are in with to stump up the required wage ceiling of 50k. Things may have changed over the last few months with them though and they have managed to get things moving again.
This is pieces of the email i sent to my friend back home.
Morning Tony,
I had to contact you as i'm afraid there is some news that you need to know about NZ4U. If you are still contemplating the move here, then do the whole process as a DIY. You see, my friend came down to see me today from up near Auckland, and he brought his girlfriend with him. Now without going into his relationship with her as such, it turns out that she was very pally with the owner/wife...have taken names out for a reason, but lets say its Mr L of NZ4U. Now these are the two who actually run the company, and the word is they do jack for you once they have got your money. Yes they may have all the promises they could muster for you, but the majority never come through. Neil, my friend, know's of a few guys who work for the company he is with(Carr and Haslam) who used NZ4U and they have warned him about the company. I don't want to see your hard earned cash being wasted for their ends.
I cut out the rest as this was personnal info for my friend, sorry about that.
Just tread carefully
Kim
