what do you know of opportunites as a train driver in NZ , I have applied for a job in the UK which involves driving the trains but mostly working on the tracks fixing problems.
We are thinking of christchurch do you know of opportunities in that area or is it going to be mainly north island for this job?

There are , as far as I can see, only 3 tracks here in Christchurch.
The Tranz Alpine, the one from the docks and the North South one.

So guessing not much scope sorry
