I have just been to see one of the largest agencies in Wellington, Hudson, who advised me that they really only dealt with contracts of a minimum of 4 weeks.

Does anyone know of any agencies who use temps for 1 - 2 week contracts? The reason being that we are not sure how long we are going to be in Wellington (due to my OH's job offer being something it wasn't - long story!) but it would be nice to see some money coming in rather than going out for the few weeks that we will definatly be here.

This may be a bit late for you but have just seen your post. Not sure what type of work you are looking for but I know that Kellys were actively seeking a few weeks ago. Plus in the Dominion post on Wednesday is a special supplement on contracting/temping.

how did you find dealing with hudsons?
