Hello :)
Some addresses in Auckland are not zoned for any school (for example Auckland Central).
How do parents chose a school for their kids in that case?

According to some demagraphic stats we were looking at when we first arrived in Auckland there are very few kids in Auckland Central and the vast majority of kids who did live there were only children with 2 working professional parents. There is apparently only one primary school in Auckland Central (Kadimah college) and it is a private Jewish School, but they accept people of other faiths too. There are a few senior schools on the periphery though.
I assume most kids in those areas either go to private schools or make an out of zone application to their best preferred/nearest/most convenient school. But as there are so few children is those areas I guess it is not really a big issue.
