OK, OK, I know I'm being impatient but has anyone else who was selected on 26th March, got 'Decision successful yet? How many times can one check the on-line status a day?!?

dusk
7th April 2008, 11:53 PM
ours took nearly two weeks, I know it seems to take much longer when you keep checking though doesn't it? :)

Good luck Carey!
I'm glad you posted, because we are in the same boat as you (selected 26th Mar, although with fewer points), awaiting a 'Decision Successful' to appear on-line!
I've currently restricted myself to checking just twice a day....oh ok, one more time won't hurt...
Post again once you have it, so I'll know when to expect ours :), or not :(

I checked it earlier - was still 'selected'. Hope it comes through soon - I have rather expensive medicals to attend on Friday which I might delay if this doesnt come through.

Then again - we are hoping for a job offer, pending and interview with Vodafone. Recruiter seems to think the chances are good - trying to not get my hopes too high just yet.

Also need to do NZQA QRS, damn expensive too. Somehow need to find a way to get 'older' work history to show experience for this ..... argh.

Well what-a-yer know? Postman arrived this morning with a package ! Yes our ITA arrived! And NZIS still says 'Selected'; or it did last time the website wasn't down! So assume it will say 'decision successful' in due course?

Who cares, I've got the document in my paws now! Then I noticed that passports have to be valid for a year and my son's runs out in Jan 09, so off to renew asap.

Woo-hoo, this really is happening now!

Good luck to everyone else who is waiting for ITA's.

I edited my post after noticing that. Sorry - still a noob on this forum and didnt look first.

Im in Ireland - so was just thinking of postage time etc - but still, reckon its related to the job offer more so. I hope to be hearing from Vodafone NZ soon regarding the role(s) applied for so that we can make progress on this ourselves.

Doing medical on Friday, Xrays on Tuesday.

Police clearance (Ireland) applied for - should take a week or two.

Just need to do the NZQA element, then we are ready for ITA and/or travel etc pending work offer etc.

hmm i would be careful doing your medicals before your NZQA assessment as those has been known to take several months to be processed.

Got a letter from NZIS indicating that we had been selected, no news there. They do however indicate that we have been handed over to the London branch and will be assigned a case officer there once our info checks out.

This seem normal enough?

Oh, and the paper work arrived from the New Zealand Embassy in London today :)

Havent read thru all of it - with or without job offer?

Ive got a job offer myself on Thursday - need to post a question about it - might as well ask here as its semi relevant.

My EOI is in and can be expedited via the London office on the basis of a job offer. What forms / info do I need to fax them in London for this? Would a copy of the offer suffice or do I need to complete forms such as 1015 / 1113? Do I select the WTR option for this if I need to complete form 1015 (Application to work in NZ)?

just reading back, we submitted on the 9th April, so quite quick so far :)

Was your offer submitted at the time of the actual EOI or after, such as might be in my case?

Yes, the EOI had the job offer in it.

Didn't realise you had to pay the levy when you paid for the application...

more money! :yes

Chaz - depends what stage your EOI is at - have you been seelcted from the pool yet?

If not, just update the EOI and resubmit, if you have been selected from pool you will need to contact someone at NZIS. At this stage all you need to supply is the stuff it asks for on the EOI (if you can view the online form you should be able to work out what is needed) probably just details of the job offer, the employer and what LTSSL category it comes under (if any)

no need to fill in any additional forms or change stream to WTR if you want PR though.

Yes, selected on the 26th of March, currently in waiting for ITA or similar.

selected or decision successful? if you're at 'selelcted' then you're still in the pile to be looked at and the job offer will definitely help move things on ;)

I see someone has also replied in another thread on this with the fax in details, I'd follow that route at this stage if I were you :)

Selected, not Decision Successful (yet).

Thanks - noted on the other thread. Just looking for the exact elements that need to be on the Offer of Employment.

dusk
29th April 2008, 09:42 PM
I think ...
you need to prove it is full time (or a contract of over x months)
that it is 30+ hours a week and has a salary of over $50k
and possibily that it is on the long term/short term list.

but I'm not sure that is everything you will need, offhand anyway ;)

We're were also selected on 26th Mar (145 points; no job offer) but still haven't heard any more.
As it's now been 6 weeks, I'm starting to wonder what they will say....

Grey Granite
9th May 2008, 12:43 AM
Hi guys

It says on the website that it takes 2 - 6 weeks for them to check out our points total submitted. Our decision successful came thru almost exactly 6 weeks on from the 'selected' status, ie 12 Feb selected, to 30 April 'decision successful'. Hang on in there...

I am just getting all my ex-employer letters out today asking them to confirm from when, to when I was employed, average weekly hours, and job title.

I sent them a proforma letter with all the relevant dates, names (married twice) etc and an s.a.e. and I gave them a near 3 week deadline. Hopefully the bigger companies will turnaround quickly, its the wee ones that dont have dedicated HR depts that probably wont! Doh!

One very good way to distract yourself from the waiting is to draw up a plan and work backwards from your expected departure date, write in all the stuff you'll need to do to get your house ready to sell, and the garden and the garage, and the car, and the motorbikes, and ALL the admin stuff you'll need to do (finance, cancel direct debits, mailing lists, make up address lists) bla di bla... that'll keep you focussed!

I like lists! I stress I wont remember things if I dont write them down. Mr Granite, on the other hand, stresses when he sees what we still need to do before d-day

Good luck!

Rorschach
9th May 2008, 04:10 AM
Thanks Granite!

quickie: you were selected 12th Feb or 12th Mar? You have both dates showing. I assume 12th Mar as 6 weeks later is 30th April.
Also, was that enough points, no job offer?

It's good to know though - looks like the rest of us impatient lot might hear soon....:clap
