Hi
Could someone please advise me which form to use. I did one a few months back for work registration and it was £10.
I've now asked for another one for immigration but they sent me ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO) form at £35.
I would prefer to use the £10 if accepted.
Many Thanks
Tim.

As of the 22nd Jan (date website updated with the change) immigration have stated that you must provide the ACPO version.
If you have a valid police subject access form from before that date then I can't see why they wouldn't accept it, otherwise can only suggest you ask your case officer if they would still accept the other version.
At least the ACPO version will be provided much quicker than the older form so saves you having to wait around.

Thanks for that Ian.
Looks like more money then!! It certainly starts to add up this migration lark...

A friend of mine recently moved to NZ and emailed INZ regarding the police checks. She too had the original £10 one and they said that they were still accepting them if they were valid. I sent off for mine before 22nd Jan but never received them until March (40 days later). Just hope they accept them.

I would think the certs are valid from when they send them out to you, not when you requested them, so you should be fine.

I emailed my immigration officer yesterday and she confirmed that they are still accepting the old certificates. So if you already have them then no problem. I think you can only get the ACPO ones now.

Cheers, that is what I thought :)
I already have mine done and only took 4 days to come back, doesn't say I have any convictions, but my picture makes me look like a criminal :p :D
