Just to let you all know that NZ would like us to apply.
A nice woman at NZ immigration office, sent me a Birthday Present. I am sure I remember someone else getting a present like this. They are very nice people.
:cheers So all have a double drink for me.

I was looking for an excuse to crack open a bottle of wine ...... now I have it. Well done Jo - bet you just can't believe it. And a happy birthday too.
Now the fun really begins.

Scarey, it's all happening so fast.
I will save the wine for tomorrow, oh heck, maybe not.
I will have to start working round the house, to see what I can chuck out / sell now. Even more work, but better that, than clutter up another house.
Good fun, and in time for spring.
Enjoy your drink and Thanks. :P :laugh :P :laugh :P :laugh :P :laugh

Yay! :cheers
Jo - sorry to be dense (well, I've had years of perfecting it) but did the NZIS lady make any mention of your birthday in her message, or are you just commenting that your birthday may have been behind the timing? (Surely the latter, but maybe not).
Well done again - say hi to Birmingham, I lived, worked and studied there for years and really liked the folks.
Cheers,
Matt.

Congrats, Jo! :cheers
We changed to decision successful on my husband's birthday in January! It makes for such a wonderful celebration!

That's EXACTLY what I've been doing for two weeks now! But, there will be plenty of time for that later - you should go celebrate now!!
Enjoy!

To MB,
The lady did not mention anything about my birthday, she just quized Andy about his work experience, seeming to say it was not good enough, and when she hung up, saying she would let us know in a week, after discussions with some others, we thought that was it bye bye nz.
But I logged on a few hours later and found out that she had said Yes.
I remember someone else saying they got their decision on their birthday, and it was RoadRunner's husband. Conincidence I think, but a nice one.
I have been saying give me a sign that the move is right the last few weeks having a few worries, I have decided that sucessful in 3 weeks is a sign that it is a good decision.
Birmingham says Hi.
RoadRunner, will be celebrating tonight, especially as it is the start of LENT, Pancakes on my birthday.
Then I must start clearing out the house over the next few weeks.
Anybody know the best place to sell kids stuff, clothes, cot etc.
