The pilot of the Darth Vader balloon is, not surprisingly, a massive Star Wars fan. When he was having the balloon built only 3 people knew what it was going to be. Each person in the factory was given little bits to make and it was only when it was put together that they found out what they had made. He was dressed as Darth Vader, complete with a illuminating light sabre, at the nightglow and had storm trooper as assistants. :D

Apparently the Star Wars appreciation society or some of that ilk provided the Stormtroopers for the effect... good innit
