Hi all,

Here's the thing, my partner and I are already in NZ on a working holiday visa. I have a bachelor degree in Business Administration(pre-assessed by NZQA worth 50 points) but I have worked the last 6 years in IT as a systems/network engineer.
I have a number of industry certifications and references so I'm pretty sure I can get a skilled job/offer.
When I go through the points indicator, I can easily get 130 points with this IT job offer included (not asking points for my degree because it's unrelated, else I've got 180 points).
I've seen that the last EOI's selected have a minimum of 100 points AND a joboffer.
So the big question is, can it be done without asking points for a qualification?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Jo

If you claim partner points (20), plus your qualification (50), plus your age and work experience , you will get 110 to 120 depending on your age and work experience. You still have a chance of being selected. Because the last 3 selection criteria are 135, 125 and 120 points (that did not include a job offer or bonus points from area of absolute skill shortage list). Maybe they might lower the points again. Who knows? But in the end, it will depend on NZIS.
