Hi Everyone
If you are in NZ and sick of paying the earth for the odds and ends you need for your home then sign this petition to say yes to Ikea Auckland.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/we-want-ikea-auckland/
I know it is very sad to have started a petition to get an Ikea but having just moved here i am so tired of traipsing all over to get things for the house and paying over the odds for stuff. Sometimes cheap and cheerful is all you needs when it comes to lights, shelving and cutlery!
I have just read that in Feb 08 the environment court put the dampener on plans for an Ikea store in Auckland and I am sick of seeing any opportunity to get goods for a more reasonable price quashed by the environment court.
Its pak and save glenfield all over again.
I don't know about you but when you have a family to support on a much lower wage than you would get elsewhere you are even more in need of cheaper household goods than ever.
Dont get me wrong, it is great living in NZ and I would sacrifice the higher wage to live here but just seems silly to pay more than necessary wherever you live.
If you don't ask, you don't get! (or should i say if you don't nag, you dont get?)
