Hi, I am looking at a 3 bed property in this location to rent. Can anyone let me know what sort of area this is like. I know there are schools nearby, intermediate and high schools. I am told it is aournd 30 mins to CBD which is where I will be working. Is this true? Is it feasable to use public transport from this area?

Regards,

LisaandPaul

Should read Mangere Bridge. So not well known by the forum members I guess.

I can't help - I only know (now) I've driven through/past on the main road. But maybe others have done the same as I did, which was to check out 'Managere Bridge' on the map and come up with nothing. You might get more luck later.

you could also try the maxx website to check out bus timetables, this will give you a rough idea of travel times from there to CBD

Not one of the better areas of Auckland! Probably in the lower end of areas on a socio-economic scale and favoured by the island communities. You also have to get over the Mangere bridge which always has a tail back during rush hour. They have just started building the new bridge but that will take a few years.

We are just the CBD side of the bridge in Onehunga - look in that area or Royal Oak and I think you will feel a bit safer when you get here :)
