Well, after a day of trying to keep herself busy and distract her mind, Zoe had her nursing interview over the phone last night. I was banished up stairs. Tough interview but she finished feeling really positive. No formal job offer made over the phone but they said they would contact her referees and send a medical form for her to complete. It seems that we may well be heading Napier way!

They did ask about my job and said that I will be able to secure a teaching post quite easily in the area. Whilst I don't fully believe them, it is nice to hear that!

Roll on the formal job offer! :hopeso

Well done Zoe. Hopefully formal job offer will be not far behind. Ant, can you apply for teaching jobs before you get there? Or do they want you in the country?

I think there's little chance of me securing a job from over here. I think that finding work there will be as difficult as it was here in Cornwall - not many people move jobs once settled. However, what Zoe was told does give me some hope. :nice1

bet your glad thats over and done with for the time being! I am glad that it went well and will keep my fingers crossed for you. I received an e.mail from someone that has just arrived there and started their induction a week ago. she said that everyone at the Hastings hospital is friendly and she likes what she has found regarding the area and job etc so far which is positive. Let me know how you get on. I was planning to be there in march but the buyers pulled out an hour before exchange last week they changed their minds which has been very upsetting. Luckily I had not booked anything apart from my pets travel date. The health board were really good about it and e.mailed saying they will continue to keep my job for me and not to worry.
