Can't keep it to myself anymore. My daughter (andbarrel) finally arrives on Saturday having now qualified as a midwife. She has PR as a dependent on our visa but had to stay behind to finish her course. She has a post at Auckland Women's Hospital but is staying with us for a few days before she starts work. She's even bringing over a fully qualified optometrist (could be wrong, but it's opt-something) to keep her company!

It's a very strange feeling counting the days now. No more Skype or phonecalls in the middle of the night.

Great news - I know how we were feeling when we thought we would have to leave our daughter here until she finished her studies. Now she has decided to transfer to Uni in NZ to be with us - it is a great feeling to have the family back together. :raebanana :raebanana

That's great news Lockstock! and you will be close , its no time at all between Auckland and Hamilton.
I just put my daughter on the plane back to Canada after a 3 week visit, and its hard to watch them go, in my case not knowing when we will connect again.

That was a bit spooky for a split second - my daughter is Rachel and she's coming from Lincoln...I had to re read everything carefully in case there was something she hadn't told me about!

Alas we have a day off today due to the V8s. So plenty of time to calculate all the hours she'll be in the air (has taken off by now I would have thought) and rush round trying to work out where we can put all her stuff - and there'll be loads of it! Most came on our container anyway!

Just working out how to get past al the V8 stuff to get to Auckland tomorrow:confused:

Good to hear you've finally been reunited. Hope the traffic around Hamilton wasn't too horrendous for you. :)
