Hi to everyone
A question about potential emigration
With the emigration age allowance of main applicant as 55 does anyone know of successful applications and jobs in the 50 age group?
Dh is now 47, but doing a part time MSC as well as working full time and he would really like to finish it, although his sort of job has just been advertised over here in UK. We have applied just to see what happens but the consultants handling the applications have not replied to our email asking if the CV has been recieved, we just got a read receipt for that one message but not for the one with the CV and application letter. So only time will tell.
He will be approaching 50 when his Msc is done, will that be a major problem do you think?
It is the actual reality of others age related experiences that we wonder about. We all know that despite legislation etc ageism still happens and often in all countries but would like the view of what happens in NZ.
Our young are just about leading their own lives and for us we feel this will be the time to try something new, especially if we can wait the 2 years, and we have always love NZ and have a lot of friends over there.
all comments gratefully received
