Good morning, all. You may recall that I started a thread a while ago that resulted from my cottoning on (early) to the now well-publicized online-EOI qualifications computer glitch on the NZIS site.

Today I'm reporting something that I think might be equally significant. I hope I'm not duplicating anything already discussed.

On checking the NZIS-printed version of the EOI that forms the bulk of our ITA packet, we have noticed that the 'close-family-member-in-NZ' sections (T2 and O2) have been marked 'Yes' instead of the accurate 'No'. However, this did not affect the printed points tally.

Reassuringly, I logged on to NZIS and checked the online printable EOI, and our 'No' answer is still there.

But PLEASE CHECK the printout that comes with your ITA packet closely.

We're going to use the Amendments sheet to correct this - maybe it has its roots in the same computer glitch.

Cheers,
Matt.

Matt,
Mine says the same thing - Yes when it should be No. I too was planning to correct it on the Amendments page. I thought I had mistakenly filled it out online and was hoping that "correcting" it would not affect my points. Glad to know it seems to be a larger issue.

Thanks - interesting.
And I hope I didn't start off my post sounding a bit self-important. At least partly I just wanted to emphasize that we had that gut feeling that this was an important thing to have noticed that might benefit others... rather than being one of my more normal discursive posts! After all, if you're gonna mark a thread "Important" it had better be worthwhile!

I certainly didn't take it that way. That's the type of thing you would just glance over and not realize was wrong (unless you're really detail oriented like I am - going over everything again and again)...

Good on you to point it out to the rest of us (am I getting the lingo down right? :P )

I'll second the "check the printout" ... on it I am referred to as Naomi in some sections!! It's not even a middle name or family name! :?

Bringing this up to the top again, 'cos I've learned of someone else not on this forum (I think) who found the same mistake we did.

Check the printed ITA version of your EOI!

Just a reminder. :nice1

Cheers,
Matt.

I just discovered another "bug" in the ITA. In Partner's Other Family (section O), the "RELATIONSHIP TO YOU" in the EOI is now "RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR PARTNER" in the ITA. So the pricipal applicant's "mother-in-law" becomes the partner's "mother-in-law".

I'm not sure if I am going to correct this one. Any suggection?
