Don't know where to start!? I received my nurse registration 31st March, started casually looking for Learning Disability Nurse posts on the DHB web sites, found a couple and informed my agent at Geneva Health. Interview arranged for tonight......I'VE HAD A JOB OFFER.....Blimey!
I'm excited, nervous and ever-so-slightly panic stricken! Ok, so the ever-so-slightly bit was the understatement of the year! Anticipated start date......30th June! I've done next to nothing regarding visa's, we were too-ing and fro-ing between PR application and WTR! We've gathered some documents/evidence etc. etc. but not everything! It was all kind of there in the back of my mind, on a mental 'to-do' list but we never imagined it would happen so quickly!
My OH is working away at the moment and naturally, he was the 1st person I called.....all he could utter was a 4letter word beginning with 'F'.....bless him!?
I don't think I'll be sleeping much tonight.....or for the next few weeks actually, it is only weeks after all!! So much to do......Aaaarrrggh!

Congratulations and good luck :raebanana .
If at all possible I would go for the PR in your circumstances every time.
You will find the agent (Geneva health) will recommend WTR but that is to get you there as quick as possible so that they get paid.
We know of so many nurses who wished they had come out on PR after being advised to go for a WTR instead.

If you can go for PR every time. It should be a breeze for you now you have a confirmed job offer.

Thanx for your words of wisdom.....much appreciated! I've heard pro's and con's for both and still in limbo! Will discuss further with OH. Seems silly not to go for it from the onset really?

Congrats!
And I agree with IanW99 & StevieD, go with PR - noticing a theme here!?!
By the way, was the four letter word - fish? :p
Cheers

Go for PR and stop a moment to catch your breath. With your skills and qualifications you can pick and choose. My daughter's a midwife a\nd coming here tomorrow (yeayyyy!) but she had several job offers and didn't use and agency. You may not need to be in such a rush but great news anyway:nice1

Great news, another vote for PR here, should be pretty quick (in theory) with a job offer.

Congratulations :D
I'd also highly recommend doing the PR route.
Also, given how much in demand oyu seem to be don't be afraid to go back to them and negotiate your start date if you don't feel like the current one will give you time to sort everything out! You sound like you are in a strong position, so don't feel pressured :D
Best of luck

Fantastic news - going for PR should be fairly straight forward. Get your EOI in ASAP - they do try to fast track those with job offers. Also try to negotiate your start date - I went through Geneva and have renegotiated my start date and everything is OK. :cheers :raebanana :raebanana
