Well, the folks are now home. They've been down south for the last 3.5 months and have no clue what I've been up to. I've been so stressed out this week because they're coming to my place for the weekend and I know I've got to tell them my NZ plans. So they got here yesterday and they knew something was going on. Can't keep any secrets from them! My mom had it in 3 guesses. But when she asked if I was moving, I think she probably thought I meant to the other side of town...not half way around the world!

But it went surprisingly well and they're being very supportive. My dad's main concerns are of course....how much $ will you be making, housing costs, health care...stuff like that. Just needs to be sure I'll be financial ok. Mom got teary eyed. But they're both okay with it.

I'm glad that's done. It's like the weight of the world off my shoulders!
