OK, we've done it, the application was sent registered post today, to get to NZIS tomorrow. It's in the lap of the gods now (there's a Queen song there somewhere!) :nice1
Let's hope things progress as quickly as they have for others :hopeso, we're not in a hurry to go, I just want to KNOW what's going to happen.

Great news for you all Mark! :nice1
Hope it all goes quickly with this final stage - I hate all this waiting!
When are you planning on heading out here? How's the house sale going?

Hi Jodie,
So far the house is only on the Internet (Click Here (http://www.dezrez.com/DRApp/Search.ASP?WCI=Particular&WCE=00250573)), we'll get the board up "when" :hopeso we get PR. So far after 2 weeks no viewings but I'm not too bothered. All being well I still think we'll be over in the summer (winter), we'll see. :cool
We are so pleased to read how well you and Darren have settled in.

Hey Mark
You've got a big back garden !!! And ..... we have the same colour as your kitchen in our downstairs bathroom!
Since November our house has been on the internet only, it's generated plenty of enquiries but not actually brought anybody through the door.
We put it up with (the biggest) local agent last week, it doesn't get in the papers until tomorrow but I'm getting a good feel about this one.
The market around here has started to move (thank God). The agent told us that his branch had completed on more houses in the last 9 days than they had in all of November, December & January. Now I understand that this could have just been 'sales speak' but it worked for me.
He's given us a fixed fee (no % fee) which is to be reviewed if he doesn't find us a buyer in 4 weeks. I may be Mrs Gullable but that makes me think he's going to really try to sell this place for us - the longer it's on his books the less he gets paid ..... yee haa.
Anyway, for you, us and everybody else out there being held back by house sales ..... fingers crossed !!!!!!!!

Good luck with your application and your house sale Mark. As a real estate agent here in the US, the internet advertisement for your home looks very good, very thorough and your house has "appeal" as we say here.
Good luck Diny too, I have two of my houses on the market in hopes of liquidating my assets to move somewhere (hopefully NZ), and the market here is very soft also, but the "spring market" is just around the corner when activity really picks up, so keep your head up!

Thanks guys,
Diny, does that make our kitchen look like a bathroom? ;) The back garden does look big, amazing what a wide angle lens can do! (it's about 65')
John, thanks for that, nice to get some positive feedback from a pro. :nice1
The guy that is selling ours has only been running his own business for 3 months, although he's been in the business for many years. I'm hoping that his new business will mean an extra push for success, we'll see!! :hopeso
