Hello Everyone.

I've been reading the forum for some time and wanted to introduce us.

My name is Danielle and I'm from Canada. I received my PR last year. My partner is Frits and he's from South Africa. We are working on getting him a partner work visa, but are facing some difficulties.

We are currently traveling in Southeast Asia and were hoping to be in NZ by September. However, I've just had an interview and a second interview with a company in Wellington, so depending on how that goes, we may be there a lot sooner.

Has anyone had any experience with applying for a partner work visa especially not in your home country? We have contacted the NZ High commissions in Singapore and Bangkok to try to get some information on the visa for Frits, but have not had a response.

Thanks everyone.

I've just heard from the company in Wellington and they have made a formal offer. I start in just 4 short weeks. We will be heading for Bangkok and hope that everything goes well with the visa for Frits.
