Hi all

Just stumbled across this forum, just wanted to say hi to all the lucky ones that are there in NZ at the mo.
I lived and worked in NZ for 6 months back in 97/98, loved it!! Always vowed to try and emigrate one day.
I'm a time served Electrical cable jointer for one of the largest distribution company in the UK.
My partner is just bout to finish a social work degree with the OU.
So what I'm trying to say is does anybody know what my chances would be???

Welcome, as a jointer probably good, there is loads of work going on like that here. Try looking at Transfield services website, they use a lot of cable jointers, may give you a better idea of things.

And hearing what is going on in the news, sure there is need for social workers here.

Good luck guys.

Steve

I'd say your chances are probably good! Always better with a job offer already under your belt. Try looking at the "Skills Shortage" list and see where you come under.
