Hi,

Does anyone know how long it takes NZ embassy in Washington D.C. to process a temporary work visa with a job offer?

Sorry...I could not find the answer to this anywhere. I am planning on leaving in 6 months (Oct), when should I apply?

do you need to get medicals done? I can't remember. I'd start the process anyway.

It took them one day turnaround for me for a 4 month visa. 24 month visas may have more requirements, since there are more benefits (you get many of the benefits of a perm resident/citizen such as health care, schooling for kids, ect...).

Give them a call at the embassy in Washington DC...They are very helpful there..They will be able to give you a time frame for processing your your temporary work visa.
